By following these guidelines, you can efficiently operate the bore pump and manage water usage effectively.

Water Usage:

  • After usage, ensure all water taps are switched off to prevent unnecessary wastage.
  • Do not leave water tubs or containers filled if they are not in use. This helps conserve water and prevent overflow.
  • Please read our water usage guidelines.

Switching on the Bore Pump:

If the float switch is not working: Turn it on manual and this will then turn on the pump to fill up the tanks.

To do this you need to adjust the Switch in the Float Switch board to “Manual” or “Automatic”.

It would be necessary to check this three times a day at specific intervals: 7:00 AM (or earlier), 1:00 PM, and 5:00 PM.

Leave the pump running until water flows out from the water tank, indicating that it’s adequately filled.

This just needs to be done if there is an issue with the float switch!

Issues usually just happen if someone leaves a tap on especially overnight.

 

Water Tank & Pump Instructions

  • Top switch → Rabbit area (in the photo switched OFF)

  • Middle switch → Julia’s tank (always just half switched ON)

  • Bottom switch → Main house tank (currently switched ON) – switch off when both tanks are full.

⚠️ Important After Filling Tanks

Once all tanks are completely full:

  1. ✅ Switch OFF all power switches

  2. Unplug all power cords

  3. Turn OFF all water valves

This is very important to:

  • Prevent pump damage

  • Avoid overflowing tanks

  • Reduce fire risk

  • Save electricity

Never leave pumps running unattended once tanks are full.

After Using Water for the Rabbits

When finished filling or using water for the rabbits:

  1. ✅ Switch OFF the rabbit pump

  2. Switch OFF the side valve

  3. Unplug the power cord if no longer needed

Do NOT leave the rabbit line pressurised.

Bore & Tank Filling Instructions

✅ Step 1 – Open House Tank Valve

Switch the tank valve at the house ON
→ This allows the tank to start filling.


✅ Step 2 – Switch On Bore (Manual Switch)

At the bore:
Switch ALL switches ON (manual switch)

→ Let the tank fill completely
→ Wait until water runs out (tank is full)

⚠️ Do not leave unattended.


✅ Step 3 – Turn On Geese & Duck Water

After tank is filling properly:
Switch the geese and duck water ON


When Finished / Tank Is Full

  1. Switch ALL bore switches OFF

  2. Unplug power cords

  3. Switch OFF all valves

  4. If rabbits were used: switch OFF the side valve

✅ Start Bore & Pump

At the bore:

  1. Plug in the pump power plug

  2. ⚡ Switch the manual bore switch ON

  3. ⚡ Switch the pump power ON

→ Let the tank fill completely.
→ Wait until water runs out (tank is full) and switch off/unplug.
