Water Usage Guidelines – Berry Springs Farmstay
At Berry Springs Farmstay, we are committed to sustainability and responsible water use.
Our property relies on bore water, which is a limited natural resource.
Please follow these important guidelines to help us conserve water and protect our environment.
Be Water Wise
Water is precious, especially in our region.
Please use it carefully and avoid unnecessary waste at all times.
Turn Off Taps After Use
Always switch off taps tightly after use — both indoors and outdoors.
This helps prevent leaks and saves water for everyone on the property.
Washing Machine Use
✔️ Turn off the washing machine taps after every use.
✔️ Check regularly for leaks or drips.
☀️ Do not use the washing machine after 5:30 PM, as our solar system relies on sunlight and late use can cause power outages.
Evening Check
Each evening, please do a quick check to make sure all taps are properly turned off.
This simple habit helps prevent water loss overnight.
Caravan Water Use
When using water at the caravan, please be mindful — avoid leaving taps running and conserve water wherever possible.
⚖️ Measurement Guidelines
Follow the recommended water amounts when watering plants, cleaning, or filling troughs.
Overuse can quickly drain our bore water and damage the water pump.
☀️ Dry Season Awareness
During the dry season in the Northern Territory, rainfall is limited.
Please adjust your water use accordingly and help ensure there’s enough for everyone — people, animals, and gardens alike
Together for Sustainability
By following these simple steps, we can all help protect our bore water supply and keep Berry Springs Farmstay sustainable for the people, animals, and environment that make it special.
Thank you for your care and cooperation.
