In addition to your daily animal and maintenance duties, please follow the weekly routine below:
Monday: all around the house – Pool Robot, Mowing, Weeding
- Pool Robot between 7.00 – 10.00,
- Mowing around the pool,
- Weed removal around the pool and on the side of the house
- Spraying
Tuesday: shopping & all around the ponds
Maintain all ponds
- Clean them, remove leafs
- Fill the water up
- Remove weeds around them
Shopping
- Get all the animal food what is needed for a week
- Pay in cash from the rabbit sales
- Take the pool sample and buy chemicals as necessary. Keep the receipt: the house tenants and you need to share the cost for the chemicals.
Wednesday: all around the firebreak and drivways, walking paths
- Weed removal
- Spraying
Thursday: all around the donkey paddock
Morning:
- Brush the dogs
- Clip the hair or nails, worming once a month
- Send a photo of the dogs
Afternoon/Evening:
- Wash the stable
- Clean up the horse float
- Mow and whipper snip all around the area of the horse float, where the dogs are and next to the container up to the fence.
- Weed spray with salt and vinegar in the donkey area or around the fences
- Wash and scrub the water containers
- Rake the poo and leaves together into one pile, burn it immediately under close supervision (evening job)
- Check all fences, feeders and do repairs
- Send a photo of the donkeys and goats
Pool Robot
- 7.00-10.am
Rabbit Enclosure Cleaning and Maintenance
- rake all poo and old hay out or remove it with hand gloves (which is my preferred option)
- take the collection boxes and tip the bedding on a different plants which needs fertilizing
- scrub all water containers too
- check for snake proofing improvements and gaps and fix it
- send a photo of the babies for sale (indicating male or female)
Whipper snip in the animal areas as necessary:
- Dog area
- Geese enclosures,
- Duck enclosure
- Pig enclosure
Wash and scrub all water containers
- (each has it’s on brush which is kept in the fence).
Around the caravan, your area and the cats
- weeding, raking, general maintenance
- send a photo of the cats
Saturday: Animal chores/petsitting
- Just the daily animal chores
Sunday: Animal chores/petsitting
- Just the daily animal chores
Be aware, the duties need to be divided equally between 2 caretakers, whereas one person is mainly responsible for the animal care related duties and the other for maintenance and gardening.
