To ensure smooth operations and to accommodate your availability, please follow these guidelines for selecting your preferred shift:
Long Term Caretakers:
Be aware there needs to be an animal welfare check done as your first priority on the morning shift and your last priority on the late shift. This is to ensure that any animal that is injured or unwell gets immediate attention.*
If the owner is away or busy:
At any time there needs to be someone responsible and on standby on the property!
On standby means you can be in the pool area or somewhere where you can see and hear the dogs such as in the outdoor kitchen area.
Flexibility & Adaptability
Assess your availability and select the option that best fits your schedule and preferences. Keep in mind any prior commitments or time constraints. Understand that while we aim to accommodate preferences, availability may limit options. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs are appreciated.
How many hours?
- 3/day without food
- 5/day with food (Please confirm with your booking.)
Short Term Helpers (stay at least 14 days):
3 hours/day (applicants who buy their own food): 7.00 AM – 10.00 AM
5 hours/day (applicants who share meals with other helpers): 7.00 AM – 10.00 AM (3 hours) + 4.30 PM – 6.30PM
Long Term Helpers (stay at least 30 days):
3 hours/day (applicants who buy their own food): 7.00 AM – 9.00 AM + 6.30 PM – 7.30PM
5 hours/day (applicants who share meals with other helpers): 7.00 AM – 10.00 AM (3 hours) + 4.30 PM – 7.30 PM
Exemptions
Exemptions can be made as long it is a benefit for the animals and negotiated with the host.
Please share responsibilities: If the host is not here, it is required that someone is 24 hours on the property (perhaps the pool :-).
Communication
Communicate your preferred shift option to the responsible long term caretakers or designated contact person. Provide any additional details or special considerations regarding your availability.
Send an SMS with your full name, number, email address with your shift times to 0487011958 on the night before 6 pm for the following day.
Confirmation
Once your shift selection is confirmed, be prepared to fulfill your responsibilities. Please SMS 0487011958 a short note about how your shift went.
Improvements
If you feel there is room for improvements please feel free to make suggestions and think about it how you can create a better experience for the animals and caretakers.
